Piezoelectric Pressure Sensors are available as both charge mode and IEPE configurations. Charge Mode Pressure Sensors are a family of high temperature pressure sensors with sensitivity as low as 0.35 pC/psi to as high as 600 pC/psi. The IEPE Pressure Sensors are probe-style miniature pressure sensors used for various applications like high-intensity sound pressure level measurement, dynamic pressure measurement, etc.

Description N/A The Dytran model 2180C is a piezoelectric charge mode microphone with a high sensitivity of 600 pC/psi, designed to measure high-intensity gas-borne sound pressure levels up to 191 dB, while reliably operating in high temperatures up to +500°F (+260°C).

Design of the model 2180C utilizes a special high-temperature piezoceramic material which generates a charge signal in response to sound pressure acting on the stainless steel diaphragm. The sensor is acceleration compensated to reduce the risk of spurious ambient vibration signals adding to signal output. In addition, the model 2180C features internal case ground isolation to avoid EMI/ground loop interference, as well as complete Faraday shielding of the sensing element to prevent AC noise pickup from external electrodynamic sources. This internal electrical isolation means that the sensing element is always electrically isolated from the mounting surface, and even from the diaphragm.

The model 2180C features a stainless steel construction, TNC axial connector and a 1 1/8-12 mounting thread. Units are also hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high-humidity and dirty environments.
N/A The Dytran 2200C series is a family of high-temperature piezoelectric charge mode pressure sensors with a sensitivity of 1 pC/psi and ultra-fast rise times. Offered in six different models, with available measurement ranges from 100 to 15,000 psi, the series utilizes a stable quartz sensing element for reliable operation in temperatures up to +500°F (+260°C). With a probe-style design and rugged stainless steel housings, sensors within the Dytran 2200C series feature a 10-32 axial connector and weigh just seven grams. Sensors are also acceleration compensated to reduce the risk of spurious ambient vibration signals adding to signal output.
