The Dytran 2301B series is a family of miniature, ultra high-frequency probe-style IEPE pressure sensors, offered in 15,000 psi. Sensors within the series are acceleration compensated to reduce the risk of spurious ambient vibration signals adding to signal output, thus enhancing the transducer's natural frequency, which facilitates an ultra-fast rise time.

Design of the Dytran 2301B series incorporates a stable quartz sensing element operating in compression mode, packaged in a lightweight titanium housing, with mounting via an external floating clamp nut with 5/16-24 mounting threads, for an overall weight of just five grams. This style of pressure sensor is physically interchangeable in mounting ports prepared for one-piece probes with 5/16-24 external threads. Units are recommended for general purpose use and for replacement in installations in which there is little chance that the sensor will become lodged in the mounting port. They are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in harsh and dirty environments.
