The Dytran 1210C series is a family of ring-style piezoelectric charge mode force sensors offered with a sensitivity of -18 pC/lbf and with reliable high-temperature operation to +400°F (+204°C). The industry commonly refers to these sensors as “force washers”, due to their similar appearance. Units were designed to measure rapid or slowly changing dynamic forces in machinery and in other applications where a thru stud or bolt holds the sensor in place in a preloaded condition.

The 1210C series is available in seven models, with full scale ranges between 5,000 and 100,000 lbf. Design of the 1210C series features a quartz sensing element, operating in compression mode and packaged in a rugged stainless steel housing weighing 81 grams. Units incorporate a 10-32 radial connector, thru-hole mounting and are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high-humidity and dirty environments.
